Jillian Poteshman, LCPC

Jillian is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who specializes in working with teenagers, college students, and working professionals. Jillian’s approach to working with her clients is strengths-based while utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-Based therapies to help her clients reach their therapeutic goals.

Jillian has a well-developed competence in drawing out her clients abilities and positive coping styles, allowing them to work from a place of strength instead of a place of self-described deficiency or maladaptive coping styles.

Jillian believes the changes that can take place in a persons life is a direct effect of being able to tap into that inner knowing and strength. This is done by showing up and holding oneself accountable. Whether it is working with clients who are in high school, transitioning to or in college, taking non-traditional paths, or career-centered individuals, Jillian is creative and adapts to the needs of her clients; seeing them as individuals who all possess their own unique struggles and triumphs.

Jillian can often be seen in session helping clients with online dating profiles, social skills improvement, interpersonal effectiveness skills, and job-application processes, as well as helping her clients navigate how to be successful students, peers, and partners.
